Combines sprinters speed with the ability to run between the tackles.  

 

4       Anthony Dixon           Mississippi State        Sr        6’1”  235lbs.        2nd Round

Powerful tackle breaker who makes big runs inspite of his lack of speed.  

 

5       Montario Hardesty          Tennessee           Sr         6’0”  215lbs.        2nd Round

Probably the most NFL ready RB in the class, great agility and exceptional balance.  

 

6        Evan Royster              Penn State                Sr        6’1”  216lbs.        2nd Round

Strong runner who finds the hole on most plays, should fit well into any team's scheme.  

 

7        Ryan Matthews            Fresno State           Jr        5’11”  220lbs.       3rd Round

Great runner with the ability to break any carry for a homerun.  

 

8        Toby Gerhart              Stanford                   Sr        6’1”  235lbs.         3rd Round

The most powerful tackle breaker in the FBS, needs to show his speed at the combine.  

 

9         Ben Tate                  Auburn                       Sr       5’11” 218lbs.        3rd Round

Exceptional balance combined with adequate speed.  

 

10       Daniel Thomas            Kansas State            Jr       6’2”  227lbs.        4th Round

Very durable runner who functions well between the tackles.  

 

11       Noel DeVine             West Virginia            Jr        5’8”  175lbs.         4th Round

Great speed combined with the ability to break an extraordinary amount of tackles.  

 

12       DeMarco Murray           Okalhoma             Jr       6’0”  205lbs.         4th Round

His potential is virtually unmatched but he's yet to exhibit that dominance.  

 

13       Charles Scott                LSU                    Sr           5’10”  233lbs.       5th Round

Solid runner who breaks tackles on a regular basis, durability could be of concern.  

 

14        Joe McKnight              USC                     Jr           5’11”  198lbs.       5th Round

Exciting player with gamebreaking ability, but he's more of a slot receiver than a RB.  

 

15        Andre Dixon              Connecticut           Sr          6’1”  202lbs.        5th Round

Aggressive runner with solid speed and great balance.  

 

16        Graig Cooper              Miami                  Jr           6’0” 205lbs.         6th Round

Amazing change of direction but needs to run more consistently between the tackles.  

 

17        Brandon Minor            Michigan             Sr          6’0”  218lbs.        6th Round

Has an NFL body and speed but he's never dominated a game.

Great in between the tackle runner but lacks top end speed.  

 

19        Kendall Hunter         Oklahoma State         Jr       5’8”  198lbs.        6th Round

Solid balance and speed but looks more like a 3rd down back than an every down RB.  

 

20        Keith Toston              Oklahoma State           Sr        6’0”  214lbs.    7th Round

Hard nosed runner with adequate speed, needs to hold on to the ball more effectively.  

 

21        Andre Anderson           Tulane               Sr           5’11” 210lbs.        7th Round

Solid runner who can move into a better position if he runs well at the combine.  

 

22        LeGarrette Blount           Oregon             Sr           6’1”  240lbs.       7th Round

A powerful force who isn't afraid to run through anyone, off the field issues will cost him.  

 

23        LaMarcus Coker             Hampton           Sr          5’10”  195lbs.      7th Round

Strong runner with excellent speed but his level of dedication has been questioned.  

 

24        James Starks                Buffalo               Sr           6’1”  216lbs.        7th Round     

He's built to be an NFL RB but missing more than a year of football will cost him.  
25        Javarris James             Miami               Sr             5'11"  208lbs.      Free Agent
Gets to the hole on schedule but has less than adequate top end speed. 

 

 

Sleeper

             Joique Bell           Wayne State(MI)          Sr          5’11” 224lbs.     Free Agent

Great speed for a guy of his size, should perform well at the next level.
