New York Jets @ New Orleans SaintsJust when I jump on the Jets’ bandwagon, I have to jump off. They face a huge road test this week in New Orleans. Drew Brees and Co. proved last week they don’t have to throw 5 TDs to win. The ground game got going in full speed with the return of Pierre Thomas and obviously Brees is the major threat. The Saints defense isn’t their strong suit but neither is the Jets offense. Mark Sanchez has been very good but his ball security has become a concern. Another major concern here is that the Jets running game has been held 164 yards the past 2 weeks. This is a close game to call. The Bills were able to disrupt Brees last week and the Jets will bring the house but I can’t see Brees having two off games in a row. If the Jets defense bends early, they will not be able to win a shootout with New Orleans. While I don’t think the Jets D will fall apart, New Orleans has too many weapons not to score enough to win the game. Pick - New Orleans Breakout Player: As a Giants fan it pains me to write this but Jeremy Shockey will have a huge game here. New Orleans will spread the Jets out and the Jets blitzing defense will leave a hole in the middle of the field that Shockey will take advantage of.
